István Balassa

Established in 2005, the family winery currently cultivates 14 hectares across 11 vineyards and 52 parcels. They strive to showcase the hidden values of the Tokaj region, the incredible diversity of this unique terroir and the magical world of botrytised wine.

Through an exceptionally involved and hands-on approach, they are continuously enhancing their understanding of the soil, the vines and the resulting vintages. This expertise and depth of knowledge is then combined with the latest scientific developments and cutting-edge technologies. The outcome of such relentless pursuit of excellence is wine of the highest quality, which brings to life the characteristics of the grape variety and the special Tokaj terroir.

Annually, 25-30,000 bottles are made after extremely strict and rigorous quality controls. Their award-winner vintages are now served in high-end restaurants and wine bars in Hungary and across Europe.
