The winery first officially premium Bull Blood was named after St. László, the patron saint of Szekszárd. The knight king is also called the athlete of God because of his outstanding physical abilities. We remember him on the battlefield and in politics as a moral, strict but just ruler.
Ripe fruit, beautiful sweet barrel spice. Tight texture, silky sips, coffee, cocoa, a pinch of cardamom and cloves, full, creamy, long lingers at palate.
He didn’t throw away the acids either, but it’s a typical Southern Pannonian franc, don’t look for cool climate notes. It opens nicely, we can discover fine details from sip to sip.
Great wine, even at a young age, but already enjoyable.
Composition: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Kékfrankos, Kadarka
Maturation: 300l and 500l oak barrels 24 months, 6 months bottles.
The wine greatly accompanies different steaks with a nice Bernaise sauce and duck or pork dishes, but it is also very drinkable just on its own.
It is a great example if you want to express you knowledge of Bulls Blood from Szekszárd.
