The introductory Szamorodni. The white rhyolite tuff bedrock of Kakas vineyard, and the large amount of clay mineral it contains, form a very characteristic fruity base for the wines made from it, framed by a tiny but even more exciting soft and velvety bitter finish. A worthy tribute from a plantation planted in 1980, summing up 37 years of development.
Tasting notes: Lively, vibrant, long, complex wine. Fruit bomb explodes in the mouth. Creamy soft texture, serious depths, richness and elegance. The acids here have a hard time keeping up with the sugar, upsetting the balance.
The nose Medium intense aroma: juicy tropical fruits, dried fruits, menthol, herbs, orange oil, orange peel, lyophilized fruits, minerals, bergamot, vanilla, cinnamon, roasted seeds, honey, pollen. hints of creamy vanilla and quince. It’s still youthful on the palate, with lovely intensity of quince and apricotsupported by a fine acid backbone and very long finish. Vibrant, deep and friendly.
The suggested drinking temperature is between 10-12 °C. The wine is wonderfully accompanied by Asian fusion dishes, air-dried ham and of course desserts.
It goes very well with blue cheese including Saint Agure, Fourme d’Ambert, Gorgonzola, Stilton and Roquefort, as well as charcuterie. but it is also very drinkable just on its own.
