The first and foremost importance in their mind is as follows: producing rich, quality fruit; learning about the local grape varieties; and renewing winemaking based on traditions. They wish to grow exciting wines fitting the characteristics of the wine region and possessing a local concept. The direction of thier vine cultivation is to grow resistant plants full of vitality, with an optimum yield and care depending on the vine. They especially deal with the enhancement of the living soil, by using compost and bacteria-based fertilisers. They avoid unnecessary or over-excessive use of pesticides and prefer environmental-friendly alternatives. Generally, they use medium-cordon Guyot cultivating system in ther vineyards.
Their winemaking philosophy
They believe Eger is one of the most exciting wine regions of Hungary. They are grateful that they have the possibility to grow grapes here.
Producing red and white wines from the same area is a particularly challenging task. They would like to create terroir-specific character wines based on traditions and, at the same time, follow the requirements of today’s quality winemaking. Old varieties, like Olaszrizling, Hárslevelű, Furmint, Kadarka and Kékfrankos take priority here. They seek to know more about our terroirs and parcels, to improve their cultivation and also to adjust the steps of their winemaking according to the different varieties.
And put their heart and soul into understand the essence of their earthly mission…
